Mike Fant

SVP, Director of Environmental Services

Mike Fant joined CES in February of 2014 as our Director of Environmental Assessment Services Department. Mike is primarily responsible for the ordering and review of Environmental due diligence assignments, as well as performing those assignments for CES clients who prefer only his expertise in the handling of those as opposed to using outside Environmental Engineering firms.

Mike is dually registered and licensed as a Professional Engineer and Professional Geologist in multiple states. He is a designated Environmental Professional (EP) with over 22 years of experience conducting and directing environmental due diligence assessments, and remediation activities. Mike attended Auburn University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Geology.

He has extensive experience assessing virtually all property types (i.e. commercial, industrial, residential) and is well-versed in requirements associated with the Small Business Administration (SBA) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development loan programs.

Mike is active in the National Society of Professional Engineers and on-going training programs associated with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s “All Appropriate Inquiries” (EPA-AAI) requirements for landowner liability defenses, American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard Practices for Real Estate and Management, including Environmental Site Assessments (ESA)-Phase I (E1527-13), Limited Environmental Due Diligence (E1528-14), ESA-Phase II (E1903-11), ESA-Phase I for Forestland/Rural Property (E2247-08) and Vapor Encroachment Screening (E2600-10).
